ELANI was formed in 2005 by Chris & Jonathan Miller on the heels of their North Carolina-based fun-rock band "Alfonso". ELANI grew to a four piece in 2006 and was big on myspace and in coffeeshops, but mostly lived inside of the imagination of the brothers Miller. "Speaking in Cursive" was the breakout EP that landed a few singles in independent films and put ELANI on the Portland-area map.
